Passengers (P)
The Passengers (P) endorsement is required if you intend to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) that transports 16 or more passengers, including the driver. Typically, this will be issued with a Class B CDL, but can also be added to a Class A CDL. This endorsement requires theory, skills, and road training, this is not a written exam only endorsement.
How much does the Passenger program cost?
To become a student enrolled in ELDT Academy’s Passengers program, this depends on the type of student you will become. This program is usually an add-on course to a Class B program, but it can be offered as a stand-alone training program at one of our on-site locations, or a corporate site. ELDT Academy offers three (3) different options. Online Theory Only, Corporate Sponsorship, or Traditional Students.
- Online Theory Only – This method is for student’s that only want the Theory Training Enrollment allows you access to the same curriculum as any other Passenger student, but does not include the Skills or Road Training. Only the theory scores will be reported to the TPR. The cost per student is $59.95. Click the button below to purchase.
- Corporate Sponsorship – This method is for corporate sponsored students whose training is provided courtesy of the company they are employed by. Enrollment must be arranged by ELDT Academy’s Representatives. You will not be able to purchase this course online. Enrollment will be manually entered by ELDT Academy, and you will receive an email with your log-in credentials. Cost per student is $200.00 as an add-on to any CDL package- which does not include Class B training. Standalone training is $600.00 per student, if student has an existing CDL.
- Traditional – This method is for Traditional students that will attend one of ELDT Academy’s site locations. You will not be able to purchase this course online. Enrollment will be manually entered by ELDT Academy, and you will receive an email with your log-in credentials. Cost per student is $200.00 as an add-on to any CDL package- which does not include Class B training. Standalone training is $500.00 per student, if student has an existing CDL.

What is the process to get started?
Our Recruiters will walk you through every step of the process, from entry through graduation. The process is fairly simple, but these steps are only applicable to Corporate Sponsorship and Traditional Students:
- Contact an ELDT Recruiter to get upcoming class info.
- Establish means of payment (Cash or Financing)
- Study for and schedule the written exam(s) at the DMV.
- Start class once all financing has been approved.
The process takes only as long as you let it. If you follow the Recruiters instructions, and quickly submit what is required, you could be starting in as little as 1 week. Online Theory Only students have access immediately.
Do you offer financing?
ELDT Academy does work with providers that offer financing options. Speak to your Recruiter about the best option that may work for you. Financing options not available for Online Theory Only.
